applying crossfade to multiple audio cuts at once

Select all the clips then Command+Shift+T will apply the default audio fade between all clips.

Hi again John!

Thanks for your patience. It’s still not working for me…odd. Perhaps I’m selecting wrong? Is theer a way to select multipel clips so you see the “trim” color at each cut? Because it seems you can only apply a crossfade when you’re in trim mode, or whenthe “cut” itself is selected.

I think this only works in FCP 7. I used the single right-facing arrow selection tool (press T once) to select a bunch of clips and Cmd+Opt+T. You can select them however you like.

This is easy. Select all your clips (COMMAND + A) in the timeline, then go to your browser, choose Effects > Video Transitions > Cross Dissolve, then drag “Cross Dissolve” onto the clips. Voila.
