Applying Broadcast Safe Filter . . .
I have a 53 minute video that I want to apply the Broadcast Safe filter & Levels filter to (The client has supplied a bunch of powerpoint slides to use as graphics, and of course the levels are all wrong).
The slides dissolve in and out of live footage, some are used in Boris Effects transitions which have been rendered off as separate QT movies and brought back into the timeline. There are also a few livetype animations in the project.
Can I just nest the entire timeline and apply the broadcast safe filter to it, or should I go through it and put it on each and every slide individually?

Throwing a broadcast filter on a nest is the most popular only because it is the easiest. It is FAR from being usefull. If you are worried about how the show looks as a whole you’ll need to get to each shot and adjust… making sure you are matching across shots. Slow and painful.
Or just nest and toss on the BS filter.

I like to go shot by shot with the 3-way Color Correct filter and bring my shots in legal that way. Then as an added precaution drop the broadcast safe filter as the last thing to a nested sequence. So far, I haven’t had anything bounced back (knocking on wood!)
