Is it possible to use a video alpha on a material the same way you can with a still? Everytime I try it, I just get a black background when I apply it to a plane & render out instead of having it cut out the image. Am I missing something?

Yeah, I did it the other day. Are you going to the Animate tab and having it calculate the frames so the movie animates?

Also make sure that the movie is mapped to your object correctly and not way to big or way to small. Like drop it in the color channel first to get the mapping right, then drop it back in the alpha channel.

I did notice that it won’t show the alpha cut out in the viewport like an internal shader will. You will have to render to see the effect.
