I have a project coming up that involves creating this logo in 3D:

The lines are expected to appear and then the logo spins.

My question is, how will I get those lines to follow the curvature of the sphere?

I imagine the best approach might be to apply rounded rectangle shapes to a circular spline using a Spline Wrap, but that would only give me a flat object. How can I make those fit to a spherical shape?

Thanks in advance for your input.

    Scott.

Cut them out of spheres perhaps or just use whole spheres with a texture with an alpha channel
