  • Apply transitions to all photos in the timeline at once in PP 1.5

I can not find any reference in the archives about adding a default transition in the timeline to numerous photos/videos automatically for PP 1.5. I can only find items relating to 6.5 using the storyboard.

Set up yout stills in a bin and use the ‘Automate to Sequence’ option from the project window. This will place the stills on the timeline with the Cross Dissolve transition between each of the images.

I had asked this same question several times with not response. Now that I see one, how I put back those edited photos from the timeline into the bin or project?

Second, how I make all those photos to have the same duration; ejem, 7 frames, all at a time?

Can’t you just highlight all your clips in the timeline, right click, go to duration, change to 7 frames or make one still the length you want, copy, then paste atributes to the remaining stills…oops that is in FCP.

You could go to your preferences and set stills length to be 7 frames vs. 180 default. Use this before you import all your stills.

The first won’t work. The second is viable.

W’d like to see this in next releases. Just it have to be well explained so developers understand what new things we want…not invented by us… because it already exist in others plataforms.

If you already have your image slideshow on the sequence, create another sequence and via the Rate Strech tool, simply adjust the duration as required. If your current per-still duration is 5 seconds and you have 20 stills, simply increase the duration by 40 secs.
