Apply one group of effects to multiple layers?
Hi there. I’ve got an edit that has about half of the clips needing keying. Is there a way that I can set up one batch of effects (Keylight, supession, matte) and rig it to affect only certain layers?
Of course I could use an adj layer, but I don’t want to have to re-order my layer to make all my keyed shots “below” my adj layer.
I could pre-comp the batch, but then it makes it harder to make adjustments to the overall edit.
It looks like my solution is to manually adj one batch of effects, then copy (from the effects pallet) and multiple-paste to the other layers. Ok, that’s really not that hard to do. It just seems easy to miss something.
My other option is to rig the whole thing with expressions to each handle, but that seems pretty arduous and unnecessary.
I guess what I’m hoping to find is a sort of expression or pic-whip that will “parent” effects, not transformations. Or the ability to put my effects on a null then “apply” everything the null has to another layer. Is there such a thing?
