Apply motion effects to P2, 720p/23.98 footage in 30i project?
Is it possible to apply motion effects on mixed media in Avid 4.0.5 in a 30i project? Our footage is from P2 that was shot slow motion – resolution 720p/23.98. The SD clips take the effect just fine but the P2 clips get “effect does not apply” error. Do we have to switch project formats? (no one knows what it is being delivered as)

Anything with mixed framerates will have a (green dot) motion adapter applied, automatically. If you want to adjust the speed of a clip that is not in the project’s native framerate, then you need to open the motion adapter and promote it to a Timewarp effect.
