    Hi!

Is there a way to apply some kind of metadata to a single angle within a multicam clip so the timeline index can be used to select only the clips set to that angle?

I can’t seem to apply tags in the angle editor, and tags applied to the source media don’t propagate to the timeline. The “Clips” tab under the timeline index shows the active angle of each clip, but doesn’t allow sorting by column.

I know that actions can be applied directly to the clips in the angle editor, which is great if you’re working with one or two takes, but say I have lots of multicam clips with the same angles, and I want to select all of a particular angle in the timeline, regardless of its origin clip.

    Thanks for any advice!

There’s no way I know of to do what you’re after. I can see how it’s be handy though. Probably a good idea to send Apple some feedback. FCPX desperately needs a way to collapse/ungroup multicam clips.
