  • apply filters to nested sequence

i’m sure this is a dumb question but here goes. how do i apply a filter to
a nested sequence? more accurately, how do i access the controls once it’s
    applied? i have a nested sequence in a timeline. i’ve dragged a 3way color
corrector onto the nested sequence. if i double click the nested sequence
in the timeline the original sequence opens in the timeline. when i check
the individual clips in this master sequence they have no 3way color filter.
if that filter has been applied to the nested sequence, how do i access the
controls since a double click takes me, not to the viewer but to the master
sequence in the timeline? the manual (v2 ch9 page404) says i can do all
this but doesn’t say how to get the nested sequence into the viewer, at
least not showing the 3way color i’ve just applied.

    thanks,
    BabaG

Select the sequence in the timeline.

Right click and selct open in Viewer

    Apply any filters you want.

    Ajust them.

    Render

    Also,
select the clip, hit the return key.

    One more short cut.

Option double click the nest in the timeline to open it in the viewer.

    Not a dumb question.
