apply 16:9 to a project shot on 4:3
What’s the easiest way in Vegas 5 to apply 16:9 letterbox to a project shot on 4:3 with multiple timelines? Render to a new AVI, apply letterbox, and re-render?

That’s one way. You could also add a new video track on top of all the rest and put a mask there.

Are you saying that the edit is spread over different projects?
Just create a master project and bring the segments in as nested veg files, then apply the letterbox mask on each veg’s pan/crop control or apply on a track above as a mask.Gary

Thanks, guys, I should have figured that one out myself — add a top track and use a mask.
