I got Avid certification at Future Media many years ago. I would recommend them. They have been in training and certification a long time and are well established.

Not sure about the value of “certification”, but the training may be helpful. … Especially if your employer is paying. I wasn’t that lucky.

Thank you for your input John, I would like to hear some other responses if anyone has any other input?

I took a Final Cut course at Soho Editors and I have nothing but positive things to day about them. I had a wonderful trainer, he adjusted the pace of the class accordingly. I was challenged, but not to the point that it felt impossible. The equipment was in perfect condition and that made everything all the more enjoyable. Although I can not sign up for another course at the moment due to finances, when I can, I will definitely be returning to seek my next certification. It was a pleasure to do business with such a thoughtful group.

Did you ever end up taking courses at any of these schools? I am going to sign up for classes as of now at Soho Editors and Manhattan edit workshop..not sure if I should just stick with Manhattan Edit or which is better for Final Cut. I am def. gonna go to Manhattan cause I want to take After Effects. Any info on your experience with these schools would be great.Thanks.
