Apple Mac pro very slow while exporting
Hello, I have been using my Apple Mac (16g ram and 3tb harddrive) to export my project on FCP for more than a year now and it’s usually takes 20mins to export each project but since yesterday the system has spent an average of 2 hours to export the same project. This is really affecting my work as am not sure I would meet my deadline.
I have removed all the external hard drives and even restarted the computer but it’s still not working.
what do I do? -

trash prefs, run disk utilty to scan your drives for corruption or other probs. Check your RAM.
Does the boot drive have enough free space to handle the computations? As a rule of thumb, 15-25% of the boot drive needs to be empty to leave room for temp files.
