  Apple Intermediate Codec for HDV work in AE7

  I am trying to improve my HDV workflow, and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with transcoding footage to the Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC) and AE7. Will it improve my system performance?

  AIC is MUCH friendlier than DVCPRO both in terms of transcoding time and file sizes, hence my interest in using it.
