Apple Compressor/QMaster malfunction
Having a really simple but frustrating problem. Got a new computer recently and installed final cut 7. Was using the ‘Send To’ Compressor feature and also exporting reference quicktimes for compression in Compressor and i was compressing merrily along.
Then at some point i tried to compress something. Hit the submit button and the window with the batch name and the two buttons for ‘cancel’ or ‘submit’ popped up. But the ‘submit’ button is faded and unselectable. Now no matter what i do the final ‘submit’ button will not allow itself to be hit.
It does not matter if i am sending directly from FCP or dropping in a self contained QT. And I cannot find the compressor preferences or var/spool/qmaster directory that compressor help advised me to trash.
Any suggestions? is this the right forum for this question?
Computer – Mac
Operating system- Mac Os X 10.6.7
Software used FCP 7, compressor 3.5
Source codec- Any one that i try
Destination codec- any one that I try -

I have had issues using the send to feature in FC.
I have much better luck exporting a QT(self-contained or reference)file from FC and then using that in Compressor. Do not use QT conversion.
