    Apple Compressor status failed!

    Hi,

    Really hope someone can help as on a tight deadline.

    I am trying to compress a 13gb QT, movie DV format, for a SD DVD. I am using the standard compressor setting best quality for 90mins, the movie is 1hr 22mins. All seems to go well but I get status failed due to disk space. The original movie is on a partitioned external hard drive, the drive I am using has 19gb free space and I am saving the file to desktop, the internal hard drive has 11gb free space.

    I have done pretty much the exact same thing a hundred times before and never had this problem, could it be there is some error with the original QT DV movie? I don’t think so as it plays through perfectly. I have also emptied the trash, ejected the external drive and re booted.

    Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

    I’d take a guess that you need to free up some disk space.
