Apple Compressor Export as Progressive but still Creates Fields
I am trying to export a video from Apple Compressor.
The source video is 720p progressive.
It was created on a PC using Adobe Premiere CS6.
The sequence is progressive and looks great.
We exported an uncompressed quicktime.
and then on a mac converted it to ProRes and still looks amazing and sharp)
But after exporting from Apple Compressor for the final compression (for upload) it looks like butt.
It clearly added fields. But Quicktime is telling me it is progressive.
I am not using a deinterlace filter and I did set it to progressive in the settings.
I used to use compressor a few years back and had this same problem.
I had much better luck exporting right from Premiere. But the co I’m working at swears by Compressor. It’s hard to believe Compressor is not capable of exporting without scanlines. But the fix seems like some great hidden secret.Help!
