February 7, 2008 at 9:06 pmFor some reason, it strikes me as odd… That article was posted on Feb. 1, almost a week ago, and it just surfaces now? I read it again, and much of it seems vague. When AVID dropped out there was a lot more news and info about it.
Maybe its just me.moody glasgow

That’s because AVID leaked its news through the COW and gave us an exclusive interview with Graham Sharp, the division head who spear-headed the decision. We ran it as a lead story in our newsletter and that quickly spread it like wildfire.
Apple sneaked it in quietly by giving its interview to TV Technology and its audience is largely the guys at NAB that frequent the satellite uplink trucks and switchers in the north hall. These guys hardly ever visit the south hall as they don’t care about what’s there.
TV Technology’s website gets so little traffic at its website that you could fire a cannon in most areas of the site and never hit a soul. By comparison, the COW just passed the 3/4 of a million “totally unique visitor” mark, according to Google Analytics.
That’s one reason…
