  • App Store Updates Issue – FCP X, Compressor, Motion

    For some reason four updates show up on the App Store on my Mac Pro. This despite the fact the updates were done, installed and working as of release last week.

    The Apps are Compressor, FCP X, Motion and 7toX.

    I have signed out and back into my Apple account. I have repaired permissions on my Mac Pro (early 2009) running Lion.

    I emailed support, but the response was useless.

    Any suggestions?

    After searching forums and finding no resolution, I called Apple support. Tech advised me to set up a new user account, then proceed to update again. It worked. App Store now shows all up to date. However, it’s still a mystery as to why the App Store required four apps to be updated after they were updated last week.

    In the past, I’ve found simply deleting the apps in question and reinstalling resolves the issue.
