App Store not see Final Cut Pro X store purchase.

Here’s an odd one for you.
I purchased FCPX from the App Store and installs as it should but it shows “INSTALL” in the store and when I click on it I get a popup that says:
“Final Cut Pro 10.0 is already installed and was not purchased from the Mac App Store Do you want to buy Final Cut Pro 10.0 again?

I purchased Motion and Compressor and they both say “INSTALLED” as they should.

I have to straighten this out but there’s seriously a potential serious fallibility in the App Store.

I see no related issue at the moment and have no problem with Software Update downloading Final Cut Pro X Supplemental Content, Motion Supplemental Content and ProApps QuickTime codecs

    Hi Craig,

For the record I have the same problem / behaviour.

ironically if you look at Kevin McAuliffe’s Kicking the Tires tutorial, the very first image of the App Store show’s he’s got the same issue. It’s surprising that I’m the first to mention it.

Looks like you have to delete the 10.0 version (or just drag it to the trash) and then the App Store will let you download and install 10.0.1.

I had the same issue and it looks like this fix is going to work.
