Hey there cow. Have you all heard of the freeware program Apophysis? Check out some animations made with it on youtube. Really amazing 3d fractal animation generation. I love the effects and the power of this little program, but the render times are brutal. Plus, once I do render something out, I’m not sure how to best composite it with other animations in AE, and would love if AE had the capabilities of doing this sort of thing.

Take a look at some of the youtube animations. Is there any way to make similar animations like those in AE? Plugins, methods, etc, to generate similar fractal style animations. I do have the free plugin aeflame, which is pretty cool, but rather crash heavy.

    What does CC think?

    some example Apophysis animations:

Bump, as this is still an intriguing idea. Has anyone here used Apophysis or created similar effects in AE or a 3d suite, with or without the Flame plugin?

Imagine a C4d plugin with this capability, compatible with moGraph and Xpresso… !!!
