  • Anyway to convert 3d Studio Max files to AVI?

I have some 3d Studio Max files that were part of a template I purchased. I would like to convert these to AVI for use on a DVD, however I don’t have 3d Studio Max. Can anyone tell me if 3ds Max has built in features to effectively export to a video file?

    Hi,

if you want to get a avi file from this 3D-data, you need 3D Max to render it out into a avi clip.

The 3D max file includes only the 3d geometry, lightset, shaderdefinitions….. you need to render this out with a raytracer that works with max.

If you dont have this software, the cheap way is to ask in a 3d max user board if anyone will render it out for you. =)

I think there is no other way to get the data you want.

    my 2 cent
