Thanks so much for letting me know. It must be something about our setup. I’ll try an clean install on a new drive and failing that I’ll see if my dealer can loan me an Decklink “Extreme” PCI card in case it is the particular board (we use HD pro 422 and SD Plus).
Can I ask if these a 8 bit or 10 bit or DV content jobs? or a Mix.

January 12, 2006 at 1:48 amIf you want to get work done, Vegas 6.0c and the Sony-qualified 4.8.1 driver is an extremely stable combination, cost effective too. If you are doing Digibeta or HDCAM 50i/60i work this is definitely worth a look, all supported features work in the Vegas trial version, NO known crashes on a reliable system (like a Boxx).
ps: I manage the product

January 12, 2006 at 2:57 amThanks for the info.
As others have said Premiere and Decklink 5.11 (the certified drivers) is quite solid to but not as capable as later drivers. I bought Vegas but never liked the interface for our kind of production. I cut on Discreet Edit (originally DVision) for 10 years so I found Premiere an easier transition.
Black Magic have amazing realtime abilities with 5.31…but I’m having stability problems for certain tasks with the newer drivers so we edit with 5.31 and do project management with 5.12. It may be my systems.

January 12, 2006 at 5:36 amThe majority of my projects have been uncompressed 8-bit. Also, I have mixed some DV in a 8-bit project and have not encountered any problems.

January 13, 2006 at 2:32 pmSeriously. You guys are only taking about the DL cards as being the fault of the unstability!
I mean I love adobe for its soft, but PPRO must be the most unstable program ever! Premiere alwas has been from version6 and up! So maybe its not BMD’s fault, but adobe. Think of that!
Try use vegas and see if you got the same problems with crashes or framedrops!

February 8, 2006 at 11:11 amHey Maverick,
Searching for a solution to my Multibridge/Decklink HD problem i noticed your e-mail.
Apart from driver issues I am getting a sporadic “No Video Input” screen glitch when trying to digitise.
Wonder if this is the same as your “Frame dropping issue”? If so have you found a solution?
To prevent me taking my own life please provide a quick solution. Many thanks Splatt

Sorry, I’m still new to Decklink and have spent most of my time running our A suite which is another flavor altogether 😉 I want to say the frame dropping issue was caused by fragmented and full drives, but I haven’t personally tested since last drive maintenance and a driver update to 5.4.

I think my problem must be something else.
So in spite of your generous efforts I am no better off.
