Anyone used sayqua.com XML subtitle file creator
Hi,
We are getting rushes translated by an agency and I found sayqua which looks like a great way to get get the translations into FCP. Has anyone used this.
My big question is should I use the timecode reader (to generate timecodes from the clip/camera)) or generator (to generate timecodes relating to the timeline) to create burnt in timescodes for the agency.

I replied to your email; posting here for reference.
You can use the timecodes from the timecode reader.
Just make sure when you use sayqua, “Adjust for drop frame” is selected (in the Settings part) if you are working with 29.97 or 59.94 fps. It is selected by default. This ensures when you import the sequence of subtitles (the output of sayqua), the timecodes of the subtitles align with the timecodes assigned by FCP to your video clip.
