Anyone tried a Canon HV20 with FCP?
Posted by Ron James on March 31, 2007 at 4:38 amI’ve searched the cow and was surprised to find not one post about the canon HV20. I’ve heard some good things about this little cam and am in the market for a small HD cam that will work with FCP, of course.
Has anyone tried the HV20 out with FCP? I’m guessing it’s still HDV, but not sure about that.
Thanks!

May 9, 2008 at 12:58 pmHello-
My first dive into HDV. Have FCP 5.0 Can log and capture though L&C window is blank–have to use the monitor on the camera. Problem is unable to see picture on monitor when editing.
I know I should have FCP 6 but my system can’t handle it. Also, pretty sure 5.1 is better at handling the camera but can’t find the upgrade (it was around $40 a year ago, but now not available)
Can anyone give me a hand. Maybe some special settings?
Thx
