If so, could you please do me a favor and see how many cores After Effects can “see”

THis is in the Preferences under: “Multiprocessing”

I am considering a purchase and will not settle for the i5 if AE can not see all available cores, whether hyperthreaded, or physical.

    Thanks!!

Yes, After Effects CS5 can see and use the virtual cores made available through hyperthreading.

I am just a little cautious, because I hear there are different versions of the i5 chip, for mobile, desktop and iMac.
