I’m just curious, is there any Vegas power user here working with Vegas 16 and not having any stability issues? I’m trying to decide if I should jump ship or if there is still hope.

    Hello Tim
Although my system is not a modern one (MB: ASUS P8Z77-V; CPU: Intel i5-3570K, 3,8 GHz; Chipset: Intel Z77; DRAM: 16 GB DDR3-1333 Mhz; GPU: Geforce GTX 650) and I use Vegas from its version 11.0 (currently ver. 16), I did not have any problem with the stability.

    Hi Tim,

I already switched to DaVinci Resolve 15, but am still tinkering (testing so to speak) with Vegas Pro 16 build 352. It seems much more stable than the initial v15 release. You use the term ‘power user’ which doesn’t really explain what your projects are like. I have loaded hundreds of mixed source media files, various Vegas Stabilize comparison to Mercalli 4 plugin, applied LUTs, a bunch of color correction. I have not done much composting or multicam.

So not knowing how my work compares to yours, it could very well be I have not hit the issues you have (in build 352), but I hit enough issues I still do not trust it so will stay with Resolve for now, but I still want to keep my foot in the fire so to speak with Vegas.

    I’m running Win 7, i7 6800K 6 core 64 gb, AMD R9 390 8 gb

    Best Regards……George
