    Hi there!

anyone of you ever had this error?
it’s kinda weird thing, because it started with the change of my firewire card. i bought the pyro 64 card which is certified by avid. everything worked fine before the change, but now everytime i try to play my timeline it stops with this error after 4 seconds.when i switch off the audio tracks it works fine.

im using an external drive (LaCie 160GB firewire) to store my media files on. its connected to the same card as my camcorder (panasonic nv-gs11), which btw is not found anymore by the avid software since the change of the card…

    i love this avid stuff…

Perhaps it is a driver issue? Did you fully remove the old driver, before you replaced the card?

this is weird. first i found out, that if i remove the camery from the firewire card everything works fine within the avid software.
after that i changed the firewire cable and now i can use both devices (harddrive and camcorder) at the same time.

only thing is, that my camcorder (panasonic nv-gs 11) is still not detected by the avid software (xpress pro 4.5)
when i deinstalled the xpress pro version and installed the xpress dv Free, i could control the camera by remote, but when i tried to capture video and audio, it stopped after 4 seconds with an error “lost signal”.

    can anybody help me out?
