    hi.

I am midway through a project in After Effects 7. Whenever I click on the timeline it gives an error saying.”after effects error:open gl.failed to share context color monitor depth must be 32″

Anyone know what is going on…I cant continue with the project instead having to go to an earlier archived version which is fine at the moment.
This has happened before though and I wonder if its something I am doing or a hardwear fault.

    Any ideas appreciated..
    Thanks…

Have your set your display card to use 32-bit color depth?

My display is set to 32 bit already. I can’t understand what is wrong. MAybe I will reinstall the card see if that helps.

    Anyone got any other ideas?

Its fine in some projects. It only seems to happen when in 4 views mode sometimes on 2 views mode..

Before reinstalling the card, you should check for updated video drivers for it, especially with the symptom you just described.

    Mac or PC?

Hi, I reinstalled the latest driver and all is well. Thanks for your reply though.
