https://www.roxio.com/en/products/toast/index.jhtmlI just import whatever template into Freehand, Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign, add the content–logos, menu, copyright–and print.

April 8, 2005 at 11:25 pmI use Discus, that comes with Toast, and it works fine.
Please stay away from paper labels, they are death to DVD players.
Get an Epson R200 or R300 and Ritek printable DVD-R’s 4X from Meritline.

I personally know of two people whose expensive DVD player was ruined by paper labels.

April 9, 2005 at 12:18 amI agree there. Paper labels on a DVD or CD will surely ruin your SuperDrive in a PowerBook. I imagine any trayless self feeding DVD or CD player can be ruined by adhesive labels. They are only designed for the thickness of the media and not the added thickness of the paper label.
If we are going down the print on DVD model, let’s not forget HP’s LightScribe DVD technoloy for DVD+R media. HP, BenQ, LaCie, et al make the burners and Verbatim, Imation, Memorex, et al make the media. The DVD+R media may be an issue for some older home DVD players.
Now that I think about it, Paul was a little vague as to what kind of labels he needed.
Nice point about paper labels. If you can’t print on the DVD/CD, I suggest you only use Sharpies for anything going in your SuperDrive.

April 9, 2005 at 3:48 amI use disclabel Neato Edition for CDs and DVDs. I don’t reccomend it. In fact I can’t stand it. It’s a piece of garbage.
