Hi there fellow After Effects users, I hope someone can help me please?

As you may know Datamator by Red Giant is now discontinued. I really need an alternative to this piece of software to use in After Effects and to input data to create charts automatically in my videos.

Does anyone know a plugin/software package that can do this?

I need it to be automated with different styles as we need to use it a lot across multiple videos.

I’ve searched a lot for a solution, any help will be really appreciated!

    Thanks in advance
    Best regards
    Neil

Yes that is a good option, however we would like to use the most up to date version of After Effects as we produce a lot of video and need the functionality.

Do you know if Datamator will work on the latest version? I know when it was on the market it was for pre CS3.

I think ideally we are looking for an alternative piece of software from a company that will support it for the AE product.

    Will Datamator work on CS5?

I just chatted to Nawal at Red Giant software who said it will not work on CS5 because it is 64 bit, however it may work on CS4, so I could set up a legacy system and run it that way.

I will need to obtain a serial number for the software after downloading it from their legacy software website, presumably I can find this online.

Ideally though looking for another software plug in though, really throwing down the challenge on this one…. if anyone thinks they are up for it, the AE gauntlet is ready to roll!

I just heard that Boris Red 5 can upload spread sheets and create multiple charts, it looks great and hot off the press a brand new product!

Boris FX I knew they would come up with it, those guys are superb!

Nice. I had no idea. Between that and RED’s ability to create transitions in Avid and Premiere Pro, I am taking a fresh look at a product I’ve disregarded for a long time.

Thanks for writing back with your solution.
