Anyone here use a Matrox Mini MAX with PP/AME?
Been sorely tempted to get one of these, but I’ve yet to find anyone who’s actually used this encoder box in real-world, day-to-day operations.
What say ye?
Can it shorten encode times for heavily color corrected footage and other fancy edits? And what would the time savings be? They tout it can work ‘faster than real-time’ — heck, I’d take ‘slightly slower than realtime’ 😉

Hi Ted,
The MXO2 MAX units do offer hardware-accelerated H.264 encoding, but this does not speed up effects processing, whether Adobe or third-party plug-ins – those items will still need appropriate time to render.
