I’m considering purchase of a Panasonic AJ-PX270 (good price, no returns!).
It records AVC Intra 50 – 100 and a web search tells me that Sony Vegas 12 supports that format.
Just wanting to check for sure that it edits smoothly.
    My computer: Windows 7
    Intel Core i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz
    24 GB RAM
    64 bit operating system
    Thanks!

A couple of observations. First, I don’t have the camera you are considering–but for my consumer grade FZ2500 which records at AVC Intra 100 for UHD and 200 for HD, the files import into V12 without issue and playback is OK. Second, as far as editing smoothly, your system specs as stated seem to be somewhat modest at best. And third, an upgrade to the latest version of Vegas 16 is currently $150, something I would seriously consider in addition to upgrading your PC. Good luck.
