Anyone have any hands on experience w/the Sony A33 or A55?
I’m looking into getting a DSLR cam mainly for video, i’m leaning towards the Sony A33 or 55. I like the Sony cams for there auto focus abilities since some of the stuff I shoot is run and gun interviews. Have any of yall used one of these cams, if so how well did you like it? Or is there another cam you would recommend? Also are you able to monitor the video out by hdmi or something else while shooting with the Sony dslr cams?

Hi From what I have read, the A33 is the one to get rather than the A55. I will have one in about 4days.
Look on youtube lots of great comparisons “a33 vs 550d”
The canon’s beat it in every area except AF.

So after getting the A33 and spending a bit of time with it how do you like it? Any drawbacks/advantages you didn’t see at first?

Hi I am happy with it, for around $700 with kit lens its great.
Was expecting it to be better in low light thou. The auto focus is great it rarely messes up, I think its a great camera if you have no experience at all.I cant really compare it to much as its the first proper camera I have ever had, here is some stuff I have shot with it and a few more vids in my youtube account https://youtu.be/hSLFAooGTpc?hd=1
