    Hello All,

I’m getting this error contintually on my system here at work and I was hoping someone could give me some insight on what the problem might be.

First off, I’m running Media Composer 3.5.4 on a PC platform with Interplay. We’d run a newer version of Media Composer but we need to upgrade our Unity to make that happen.

Anyway, when attempting to export a quicktime reference file for use with After Effects or Sorenson Squeeze, I keep getting this error:

Exception: Can’t create a directory, as one of the folders in the path below has insufficient permissions: path D:\AvidMediaFiles\MXF\

Does anyone have any insight on how to fix this?

    Thanks,

    Brad

The Windows permissions for your folder might be set to read-only, or you might not have sufficient permission from your Windows log-in to write to the folder. Sometimes these permissions can become scrambled by themselves. You need an administrator to fix the permissions in Windows control panel.

yes, we too have had that and it was the windows permissions settings. If you’re on a multi-user system, this can only be changed by the administrator.
