It is interesting, and bit unusual that the BMD folks seem to have dropped off the face of the Earth. I don’t think I’ve seen a post from them in this forum in quite a while. Maybe they’re all busy working on the next software update. I hope there’s not some sort of problem over at BMD.

I got an email from Kristian last Friday. Problem’s unresolved, and no word since. Hope everyone’s ok…

They have not been active on this forum since before NAB.

    Very suspect.

Though its nice to know they have more than 1 single person
    manning the usa support now.

I get a response from their email tech support usually within a day or so. I’m not sure why they are not answering support emails but if they don’t remedy that pronto it can’t be good for business.

I did manage to get a couple emails back from Kristian… fortunately I figured out the problem myself.. I suspect they are knee deep in driver revisions seeing as everything keeps changing around them non stop..

    Hello,

I have noticed support to be very slow as when I emailed last year it was Andrew McLeod form the Black Magic Australia branch who relpied and it would be a few hours after emaling them. Support is a lot slower but they do answer as it is about 1-2 days now.

They are working on a new update software that’s maybe why they are not answering or working to support the new Adobe cs3 software. has anyone tried to contcat them by telephone?

    Thanks,

    Leo

It wouldn’t surprise me if this had something to do with fixing Vista compatibility or getting ready for Leopard.

Manufacturers don’t like forums like this. It means they’re discussing potential shortcomings in a public space. When was the last time you saw a response from Apple in the FCP forums? You’ll always get faster responses by emailing them directly.
