Anybody seen this warning message from Vegas about color depth/BPP?
Hi all, has anybody got the jackpot and seen this message:

==========================================================I’ve made a Vegas project with one source video (M2TS), just doing a multilayer composition test.
Source video is format AVC, attributes 1258x544x12 23.976fps.
Project Properties pixel format is set at 8-bit.This pops up during rendering and stalls it until “OK” is pressed, every time this happens, the render would get glitched up/unwatchable at that particular frame it appeared on. I suspect it’s something to do with AVC being a delivery format. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I’ve asked John (Rofrano) previously, he said he hasn’t seen this as well.
Not sure why “Warning” is in the description instead of “Different depth or BPP”, there were no effects/transitions (including crossfades) applied, I rendered the entire source video in Vegas with Lagarith, replaced the original media in the project, lagarith rendered footage is now 1258×544@24 23.976fps, and it still comes up with the message during render.
No idea if it’s just the way I composited it, that it doesn’t like me, or something else. The last time something like this happened was when Twixtor couldn’t handle videos with alpha channel.
Surely, I’m stumped.

Never ever seen this warning and I’ve been using Vegas since Vegas Video 3. You’d need to ask SCS directly, just to ascertain that this isn’t a FALSE positive emerging from the dark depths of the MATRIX that is the Vegas code.

Oh well, thanks guys for letting me know,
I found a workaround: transcode source video to Lagarith using Virtualdub and replace media in Vegas, of course I should have done this from the beginning but I thought that this particular AVC encoded MP4 was behaving well. Guess it’s a good time to try Vegas 12… -
I thought you were using Vegas 12.
