  • Anybody having problems making a DVD with 10.0.6 or 10.0.7?

I have tried to no avail to make a DVD in FCPX 10.0.6. The software never completely finishes the sharing processing before writing to disc. It always tells me to use a duel-layered disc even if the sequence is only 25 minutes long! I never had this issue before 10.0.6. I do have a workaround in place which is stupid and inefficient as it stands.

I haven’t updated to 10.0.7 because I hear that update is buggy as all get out. So I am wondering if anyone out there has figured out how to fix this in the software or whether Apple has stated that they will resolve the issue or if it has been resolved in 10.0.7. I keep hearing that 10.07 crashes a lot more than 10.0.6, so I am staying away for now.

Thanks for the replies and happy editing!

10.0.7 does fix the DVD issue. I can only speak for myself but I have had no problem with 10.07, no crashing.

As above, fixed in 10.0.7 and I can edit all day without a single crash. I’m not sure what bugs 10.0.7 is supposed to have but I don’t personally know anybody who seems to be any worse off for updating.

Unlike previous versions there doesn’t seem to be any change/update to the project files between 10.0.6 & the latest version so I’d suggest back up the older app, and give 10.0.7 a try.
