I just bought my FCS2 upgrade, but now I’m reluctant to install it because of all the negative comments about Motion 3 on this board. I know that when things are running smoothly, people don’t usually post, but could you please chime in and let us know you’re out there? For those who have tried Motion3, do you wish you had stayed with Motion 2?

At this point the massive increase in rendering time seems prohibitive.

I find it totally rocks the house- 3D, motion tracking, new templates, etc. You may need beefier hardware but it’s an awesome upgrade.

Motion itself is great and I have had a great time with it. It’s the long renders in FCP that get me.

    4x3ghz, 1900xt, 4gb ram, Xserve Raid DAS.
