Is it possible, when adding an After Effects sequence into Media Encoder, that it be possible to select more than one sequence with a shift+click?

I am the sole Editor/Graphic Artist of a medium sized production house, and we specialise in television commercial production.
There are times, when i will create a base TVC and have 10+ versions with different end tags.
Sometimes when i’m really busy, i’ll use Media Encoder to render in the background while i continue working on a different project in AE – but i’m finding it most frustrating that i have to “Click the plus, open the AE project, wait for it to load, select sequence” for multiple compositions in the one AE project.

Can you make it possible to shift+click multiple sequences the first time?
I’m sure this would help others too, and save us all a bunch of time!

    Hi Matt,
Try this: select multiple comps in After Effects by Shift+clicking and then choose Composition > Add to Adobe Media Encoder Queue…

    Does that work for you?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Hi Kevin, thanks for your reply! 🙂

I’ve had a good look but i don’t have that option, i only have “Add to Render Que” in my options.
    We’re running CS6 here.

    Cheers,

    Matt Dean

I think Kevin’s answer is Creative Cloud specific….looks like it’s time to move to After Effects CC.

Yes, the command for adding items to the AME queue from After Effects was added in After Effects CC (12.0).

Hmmm, still regardless of that it means i have to stop what i’m working on, open project B, send to Media Encoder, then re-open project A and continue working. Not an efficient workflow really.

It makes much more sense to me to add shift+click functionality into Media Encoder itself so i can quickly open it, render project B, all the while project A has been open and preparing my RAM preview. No dead time = a happy Matt 🙂
