    Hello all:

Seems since I installed the Kona 2, on startup after the OSX splash screen, my startup apps begin to load, and while this continues — both monitors go blue for about 7-8 seconds — then return back to normal. Does anyone know what’s going on? It doesn’t seem to hurt anything, but I’ve never seen that before. Any advice/help appreciated.

And advanced apologies for the many posts over the past few weeks — not trying to take over the Kona board — just getting my new kit up and running!

    Best, JIM.

I am having the same issue- it does not seem to affect FCP or the K2.

On the other hand, the FCP5 media manager is HORRIBLE. Try managing a project and deleting unused media- it won’t work in 5, yet is ok in 4.5HD.

    go figure!

I only see this when the user has a custom desktop image – not one of the stock apple backgrounds.
it usually means the file is not a tif or pdf and it has to convert it.

    Hi Gary:

In my case, I’m using the stock Apple Tiger BG on both screens. They come up first as usual, then the screens go blue for a few seconds.

I’m wondering if it has something to do with the Kona 2 as a ‘third’ screen for the desktop — some kind of formatting that’s going on…the reason I propose this, is that I have Safari and Mail set to open on startup, with Mail on the left screen and Safari on the right. Since I’ve upgraded to Tiger, when Sarafi opens, it doesn’t remember that I had the window set to the right screen — it shows up almost off the right of the right screen — as if it were trying to be on a ‘third’ screen. That being said, I don’t have the Kona 2 set to ‘Macintosh desktop’, so it could be something else…

    Any answers/advice/experience welcome.

    Best, JIM.
