  • Any way to set a video track as main track?

I ask because I’m often changing attributes of clips in the timeline and when I tab over the the next clip to the right, it always highlights the clip on the top-most track and I’m constantly having to click back to the clip I’m trying to adjust. I find that sometimes I’ve just changed the parameters on a clip I didn’t intend because the cursor got nudged and the “highlighted” clip switched. Is my only option to enable/disable the target-tracks?

    thanks,

    Steve

In the sequence window, on the left side you’ll see the track toggles. Click on the track name to turn them on or off. If they are turned on, when you use the up or down arrows on the keyboard the time cursor will jump to the next in or out point of a clip on the highest track toggled on. If you are just wanting to go by video tracks make sure none of the audio tracks are toggled on.
