  • Any way to auto-trim a clip based on audio level in Movie Studio?

    Hi
I do talking head blogging videos, and almost 100% of the time my video editing involves dragging 50-100 clips onto the timeline (already shot in sequence) and then trimming the start and end of each clip. And that’s pretty much it.
I do this using the audio waveform, and can clearly see when I start and stop talking, so can just drag the start and stop position of each clip to the appropriate spot.
It’s not hard but it’s time consuming, same routine, day-in, day-out.
Is there a way in Movie Studio to “auto-trim” a clip based on the audio waveform?
e.g. It detects when audio starts, and then trims the clip to 0.X seconds before the start of the audio?
I’d settle for a shortcut or menu option to do this, but a script that ran through all my clips would be awesome!

    Thanks
    Dave.

I am no expert in scripting (not available in movie Studio), but I’ve asked for a similar script and was told that Vegas can’t read the levels from audio events.

If you find something that will do this, please let me know.
