Any Vegas Pro coaches on here?
Morning all! I’ve just joined Creative Cow as I need some help with Vegas Pro 18, which I have just bought. Does anyone on this Forum do Vegas Pro lessons or coaching? The thing that’s currently perplexing me is persuading the audio and video in an event (clip) to group or ungroup reliably. When I delete a section, audio clips seem to relocate themselves from other part of the project in ways that I find utterly confusing.

There are many YouTube tutorials available, some on this site. The Vegas Pro Forum has a long list of sources under the pinned FAQ in the lead into the contributions (link at item 5). A Google search will reveal many more, some better than others and some poorly presented but there remain many useful ones.

Why that is happening is because you have “Auto ripple” enabled. Look at the far bottom of the timeline where the icons are located, there you will see the icon, just disable it…… Also there, you will see the “Grouping” icon to group or ungroup as you need.
