I just order a drive enclosure from firmtek today. It accepts SATA drives. They would work fine for a two disk mini raid.

Just put those Ultra two ATAs in a firewire enclosure and use ’em as backup.

You’ll like the products from Firmtek. I have both a 2-bay and a 4-bay SATA enclosure that are just great.

Those are still 400GB and that’s a good amount of storage. No reason to let it go to waste. Purchase external enclosures for them – either FW or USB 2.0. You can get them from newegg for like $30 each.

The firmtek allows you to use their sata arrays with ultra ata’s with the use of a bridge which is fairly cheap. They aren’t as fast but useable for backing up or storing files etc. They should be fine for straight dv work. Look on their site for more details.
