I’m still trying to figure out what went wrong in this thread from a week ago, about problems importing .mov files created in AE into Avid. Any suggestions? (even if the suggestion is just to post under the AE forum instead)

Have you tried changing the field options when importing it into Avid?

Yes, I did try that, but the problem doesn’t seem to involve horizontal scan lines.

What about exporting it as an image sequence from AE, then making it a QuickTime via QuickTime Pro, then importing that into Avid?

Just a few seconds of the sequence as a test?

What version of Avid are you using? If you’re using Media Composer 3.0 or 3.05, they just released 3.1, and in the release notes it mentions fixing aliasing with Quicktime imports. Maybe an upgrade to 3.1 would help?

    Michael.

We’re using Avid XPress Pro, version 5.8.1
