No. Only Avid hardware works with Avid software. That’s the way Avid works. In fact, Avid is actually a HARDWARE company that happens to make software.

Decklink support in Avid would be wonderful, but it’ll never happen.

Well third party integrated support would be nice; however, you can also add a Canopus converter for analog I/O to/from DV over 1394 (FireWire). You can still only work in the non-Mojo resolutions, but you do get conversion to/from standard audio and video.

The Convergent Design SD-Connect supports Avid Xpress. It is a video transcoder that will convert the video to DV for use with Xpress. SD-Connect features composite, component, s-video, sdi with embedded audio, AES/EBU, and balanced analog audio I/O. It also features RS-422 control with frame accurate insert/assemble edits among a large number of other features.
