Any Must-Attend Events?
Posted by Dex Craig on March 8, 2006 at 10:02 pmHi, all —
I’m attending NAB for the first time as a participant this year and am wondering if there are any must-attend events that happen. I know that there are things going on at night off the official NAB calendar, and don’t want to miss anything that is common knowledge (except to me).
So, anything a newbie should know?
Thanks in advance!

March 8, 2006 at 10:36 pmIt really depends on your interest.
Promax is having their annual event. You can read about it here:
https://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_read_post.cgi?forumid=105&postid=855665You’ll need to sign up if you want to go.
Many of the Users Groups will be having meetings. The LAFCPUG usually has a big meeting. You can read about it here:
https://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_read_post.cgi?forumid=42&postid=854630Many of the companies have parties. Go to your favorite company’s website and see if they’re having one. You might score some tickets to it or at least you’ll find out how to get tickets.
Do stop by our booth to say hi. It’s SL3121.

Like Kathleen responded, depends on your interests. The week starts on Friday and is pretty much non-stop with something night and day.
The Cow breakfast is a good place to meet fellow grazers and the Promax event is always good, although arrive early or you will be without a seat or food. Most companies will usually have something special but are almost always VIP or invite only events so the key is, who do you know……
This year we are also getting into the game with our appointment demos in our Suite at the Hilton where we will be serving drinks and food to our guests. These will start on Saturday and go night and day until Friday. We should be all partied out by then………….
So, get your list out of who you must see and check out where you can see them and like Kathleen says, check their website for detailed information.
Oh yeah, wear comfortable shoes!
Cheers,

March 10, 2006 at 11:10 pmIt’s too early for me too, so don’t feel bad. Maybe next year, we’ll organize a big dinner. But on the other hand, the reason we haven’t done a dinner is that all the nights are already taken. 🙁

March 15, 2006 at 2:53 pmYes, Shin, if you miss it again, we will have to strip you of your really cool Cow headwear. No longer will you be able to go out for nights on the town wearing your stylish Chez Bovine

Hey Ron. Where can I purchase these cow ears?
