    I’m using the redshift renderer.

I also need advice. This thing has been rendering for so long, yet I wanted for it to be a simple test shot of the scene. It’s due for a client on monday yet I’m not sure on the look. Should I let it render out in hopes that it will be done on monday or should I change some settings?

I also really don’t know whats the issue.

Its two translucent materials on 3d models that have not been UV unwrapped since the materials are procedural.

The resolution is 300 dpi since this will be a poster.

I don’t know what other things could be influencing this.

My graphics card is a NVIDIA GTX 970. Yet I’m not sure if its rendering on it since my GPU usage is 0% and CPU 100%. And my CPU is an Intel 5, so pretty old and bad. How do I change/check on what is it rendering in C4D?

Also how could I optimize this scene? Which settings can make the render faster?

Also, should I let it render or should I take the risk, change some settings and redo the render?

Help really appreciated since monday is nearly here and I’m stresssssed.

    Hi Leo,

is not supposed that the graphic card’s usage to be at 0%, because Redshift is a fully GPU-based rendering engine. This means that the video cards (or GPUs) in your system are what impacts how long renders take to complete, rather than the CPU so please make sure that you are not used the CPU rendering mode in Redshift also make sure that GPU pilot is not outdated.

I hope this is useful to you
