any idea how to get this effect?
i’m a newbie editor. is there a simple way to get this effect (see video link) – where the picture goes black for a split second, then back to video, then black, then back, etc. see video starting around 1:04. i don’t think it’s the lights in the club. don’t know what you call it but i see it all the time so it must be a pretty standard editing technique. thanks for any help!

You can either add black video or a title object in a track above the clip, or keyframe the clip’s opacity from 100% to 0% over the frames you want to black out.
