December 30, 2005 at 3:11 pmHey. Actually I didn’t animate this myself, my participation in this project was Creative Direction. My wife Linn (www.olofsdotter.com) designed it and I directed it while Lobo, alzo from Brazil, animated it. (www.lobo.cx) The project was a mix of several techniques. The end logo and some of the little details of liquid dripping were done by hand frame by frame while most of the footage of the guy and girl interacting were a mix of rotoscoping over footage we shot in DV and straight on animated masks of illustrated elements we created.
In the end, all of the elements were used as a matte to which we applied the effect of the liquid to. The fefect was a mix of particles to convey carbonation and a range of other effects to get the colors and the glow look established. This was all done in AE and so was the camera effect which was more of a panning and transitioning from scene to scene as opposed to really moving a camera, although we did use that here and there as far as I can remember.
I think this answers your question correct? We had about a month and a half to do this eventhough most of the hard work was done over the course of 2 weeks and then we revisited with some major improvements for another 2 weeks. It was a nice execution. Thanks to the great team at Lobo.

December 30, 2005 at 3:15 pmHey, my profile here was old so it still had my contact info from when I was Creative Director at Nakd. Please note that I no longer work there. Thanks.

December 30, 2005 at 7:14 pmAmazing work, Nando. I was guessing that there was morphing, particles and an obscure, exotic filter in 3d. You did most of it the old fashioned, fine-artist way.
We bought the “Dry” painting listed at your website. Love it!
